How We Work

3D Digital Audit

Making a 3D audit is a starting step for performing a major digitization. It entails choosing optimal tools and calibration which prevents us from making mistakes at a later stage and allows keeping the highest standard of work throughout the whole scanning process.

3D Scanning

We have extensive experience in using all types of air, fixed, mobile and hand-held laser and optical scanners in the field of three-dimensional digitization of unique architecture objects and artefacts.


Integrated UAS or UAV systems are used for scanning areas which are hard to access or are of large dimensions. In this way we retrieve data for ortho photo maps of high resolution and a highly detailed numerical models of terrain (NMT) without reference to GCP (Ground Control Points).

Scan Archives

We can perform a 3D laser scan processing, registration, and quality control of any number of scans, using a specialty software to assist more efficient processing and management of the scan data.

3D Mesh Models

We transform a cloud of points into a mesh model comprising a collection of vertices, edges and faces that define the shape of irregular objects (e.g. sculpture) in 3D computer graphics and solid modeling.


We create orthographic photos for heritage sites directly from final Point Cloud projects at high resolutions up to 100 MPx. The images generated in this way are importable into a CAD program.

Digital Inventory 3D

This is an intuitive application entailing the management of digitized resources (of heritage) through a web browser. They all merge into a mix of metric panorama images with a point cloud and its data containing multimedia and descriptions of individual items available in any format.

3D CAD Models

Thanks to a versatility and high performance of the specialty software, the point cloud processing allows to generate meshing without size limit as well as produce precise, light and high quality 3D CAD models. Therefore we can provide more or less complete models, according to one’s preferences.

2D CAD Plans

We create designs for a variety of architectural items including cross-sections and projections of floors and elevations in any format and to a varied degree of detail depending on the assumptions.


We carry out a digital 3D monitoring of changes in metrological parameters of landmarks which aims to identify building anomalies in order to prevent a continuity of some decay. The most up to date gauges are applied in the process.

BIM Ready Models

We can convert a point cloud to Revizto - a real-time issue tracking software for Architecture with a focus on collaboration and BIM project coordination. Revizto unifies BIM intelligence and makes it immediately accessible and actionable for the entire project team.

The Conservation Management Plan

We elaborate a CPM upon the outcome of a digitization of a given landmark which entails a detailed architectural analysis along with historical tests and iconography showing a history of alterations to the core substance of the body of the building. A comparative study of conservation against actual repair works can be performed with the aid of a database of digital records.

3D Print

We have been applying precise lasers and optic scanners for reverse engineering. Thanks to it we may restore elements of historic artifacts (i.e. sculptures, pottery) or replicate in detail designs of architectural objects which never existed.

Virtual Reality

We create interactive applications for educational purposes which take advantage of the digitized resources of heritage. In the process we endeavor to apply the most advanced technology such as virtual reality and VR/AR lens in order to make learning to people as attractive as possible.


How Is It Done?

A 3D digitization of the Church at Iwiecino was carried out from April to September. It comprised a physical aerial and ground-based digitization of the entire landmark and a subsequent processing of large amounts of received 3D data for the purpose of making them available in a format allowing an easy dissemination in the Internet.

As a result a unique digital resource containing an exact description of the church which comprises among others: a final 3D mode of the church, more than 70 3D models of artifacts, giga panoramas, macro-photographs of a division of 1 billion pixels each, digital video clips shot from an aerial and ground view and time lapses of 4K and 5.2K, new scientific descriptions of monuments, an interactive website, Sketchfab platform for displaying 3D models intuitively, a virtual room equipped with the VR lens, an app making use of VR lens possible and another app which helps a digital stock taking within the church space.

The major tasks in the project execution were 3D digitizing, stock taking and virtualizing the body and interior with its fitting of the 14th century church and elaboration of descriptions of digitized items which are adjusted for use in the education, research and making them available publicly. Most up to date technologies serving 3D digitization and virtualization were applied in the process such as:
  • Laser Scanners

    of 1 millimeter precision to enable a registration of point clouds covering a whole architecture of the church - performed from 100 gauging places.
  • Drones

    with digital cameras of 6K resolution to achieve a true photogrammetric map of the church and to make shooting HD videos possible.
  • Optic Scanners

    of white and blue structural light of resolutions respectively: 0,1 mm / 0,05 mm / 0,01 to capture precisely a complicated surface of the artifacts.
  • Digital Cameras

    of division of 50 M pixels to shoot time lapses, the HDR spherical giga panoramas, to produce a documentation of gigapixels, to reproduce gigapixels.
  • Specialty Software

    to register, to model, to generate ultimate 3D models of artifacts, upon the outcome of previous scanning.
  • Unity Engine

    A multi-platform engine for creating 2D and 3D computer aided games as well as other interactive materials to be used for visualization or animation.

The Office of Documentarians of Monuments has a virtual room where one can see the outcomes of digitization and virtualization of the Church at Iwiecino and its interior featuring many precious movable items of a cultural heritage. This is a free service to all who are interested.
